Shop for a Cause || It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Uncategorized

October 4, 2016

This year, October has an entirely new meaning for me and some of those I love most. I’ve seen social media friends watch their mothers battle cancer, I’ve seen college friends lose their mom, and I’ve seen my own walk through this fight with more strength and optimism than I could dare to fathom.

I’m not one to get too sentimental on the blog, but chances are that you know someone, are related to someone, or are a woman who has gone through breast cancer yourself… it’s a disease we have seen escalate throughout our lives and I know we can all do our part to help the women we love most ensure that breast cancer comes to an end.

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and numerous retailers offer special incentives when you purchase certain items, where a percenaget of the proceeds go directly to Breast Cancer Research. This is when shopping does good for everyone involved and I am sharing some of my favorite shops and brands who are stepping up to end this horrific disease, once and for all.

Kendra Scott || Kendra’s legacy focuses on philanthropy and giving back and they donate 20% of sales of these items during the month of October to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Here are a favorite pink items that benefit a worthy cause.

Tory Burch || Accessory guru giant Tory Burch is donating 20% from the purchase of the Ivy Cross-Body [Color Bedrock] to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation as well. Timeless and chic, this handbag is something you can be proud to wear.

Fabletics || Kate’s newest initiative, Power to the Pink, benefits Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, and their best-selling silhouette is back in a pink printed colorway for this month… an amazing athleisure brand for women, empowering other women! I love it.

A few other favorites worth noting:

  1. My own Mom just beat her battle with Breast Cancer after numerous surgeries and finally a double mastectomy. It's so hard seeing our Mom's, the one who have cared for us from the start, the ones we think are invincible, go through this hard time. Thank you for bringing awareness to this!
