The Bon Appetit Grub Crawl || Nashville Recap

Another weekend has come and gone, but this one was worth raving about! Thanks to our friends Andrea and Ben, a bunch of us made it out to the Bon Appetit Grub Crawl here in Nashville on Saturday night and had an absolutely amazing time…
The joist is this… it’s a progressive dinner type restaurant “crawl” where you get to sample some of the tastiest and trendiest restaurants in the city all in one day. We got to meet and greet with some of the best known chefs around town, and toured some of the best restaurants in the Germantown neighborhood of Music City. We opted for the evening grub crawl, though there was a mid-morning option that went to 12 South as well.
You can believe if and when they come back to Nashville again to do this event in the future, we will absolutely be participating again… it was SO much fun and even better to do it with a group of our close friends.

P.S. I had so many of you asking about my outfit that I wanted to make sure I posted about it… it’s the Bloom Dress from Free People and it is absolutely one of my favorites from this season… it’s comfy, lined with pockets, and the midi style hem is flattering on so many body styles. I added a strapless bra under it since it’s a looser fit dress and it was perfect!

The tour started off at Rolf and Daughters where everyone who had purchased tickets met up, they gave us an idea as to what we were about to experience and from there, each group was sent to different destinations…we started off with grapefruit cocktails, an assortment of apps, and then we headed to our first “stop” at Barista Parlor.

Once we arrived at Barista, it was time to sample their hot chocolate [out of this world good], breakfast sandwiches, libations, greek yogurt parfaits, and iced coffees… let’s just say that all of us parents enjoyed the afternoon pick-me-up caffeine stop! And don’t you worry, none of us forgot to take a can of the hometown favorite Christie Cookies with us as a favor, too.

From there, we walked down to Cochon Butcher, a New Orleans style butcher and sandwich shop… made famous for their freshly cured meats and wine bar. We got to sample loads of charcuterie, fresh pork skins, and sip on tasty Prosecco and Pinot Grigo from from Torresella.

After we wrapped up at Cochon, we made the walk down to 5th and Taylor for our last stop of the grub crawl… we weren’t too sad to end the route there as it’s become one of our favorite restaurants in Nashville! They put on a show with fresh beef tartare, cheese puff pastries, and even more cocktails.

From there, we grabbed a Joyride and then headed to the Bell Tower for the closing party… this was where each group returned to one large event space and were wined and dined with even more eat + drink from other Nashville hotspots like Biscuit Love, Butcher and Bee, and Martins BBQ. They entertained us with a live set from from Gabe Dixon which topped off the night perfectly.

All in all, it was a night we won’t soon forget and we are crossing our fingers they decide to come back next year to do it all again… I would highly recommend something like this for locals and for out-of-towners as well!! Cheers friends.
