One Room at a Time… Caroline’s Big Girl Bedroom Reveal

It’s been a long time coming, but I am thrilled to be able to share Caroline’s bedroom with you today! Having this space completed has been a labor of love and I am absolutely delighted with the finished product from our amazing interior designer Kendall Simmons.
Last year, I shared the overall inspiration for the room and the end result is even better than I could have fathomed… so much so that this mama got a bit teary eyed when I finally saw it and Caroline is absolutely loving her new room with her big girl bed! When loved ones come over to visit, she always asks them if they want to see her “beautiful big girl room”.
The colors are warm, inviting, and yet still sweetly sophisticated, the accents are whimsical and I know these pieces will grow with her for years to come. I’m obsessed with so many of the individual details that make this room so very special for my big three year old.
Come along and take a little tour… of this special place our CC calls her own:
and just a tiny sneak peak at her bathroom!
I want to thank Kendall Simmons [website] and photographer Baxter Miller [website] for their talents and for coming to our home to share in this experience for both my girls… it was a joy to be able to work with each of them and I cannot wait to do it again very soon!

OH MY WORD. I had to revisit this post from the top over and over again before I actually paid attention to the bedroom details. The MINIS!!! I seriously don't think they could be ANY cuter. The picture with Caroline resting her sweet little face on her hands. Lordy, I love those babies. And the room. But seriously, those girls are the absolute cutest.

Where do you have the ribbon hanging with the bows attached? I have been planning to do this on the back of my daughter's bedroom door but I'm afraid she is going to get into them all the time and make a game of ripping them down at night.

believe it or not, i have them hanging in her closet… such an easy way to display all of them, but yes, i agree, it's a constant battle over asking her to leave them there 😉

Your girls are darling!! Love the big bows. If only I could get my 3 year old to keep one in. hehe
The room is gorgeous – all the mix of colors while still being so light and airy! Those baskets and that rug are my favorite. And the bow pillow!
The bathroom looks fun and interesting! I'd love to see pictures.

I know you did a great job listing everything for the room but I have to ask….where do you get their bows from? My little is ready to go up to the next size like these and I love the variety of colors. I think you recommended the little bows we've been using from Etsy.

This room and your girls are absolutely adorable! I've taken so much inspiration from this project for my own daughter's "big girl" room. Thank you so much for sharing! I have one question – where did you get the balloon print? I know you had it framed at Michael's, but did you order the print somewhere else? Thank you!

I adore those pink walls! And lets be honest, the whole room!
What is that pink paint color? I’d love to suggest it to my sister-in-law who is having twins in December!
