I know I harked a bit on the whole traditional process of changing your name after you’re married…yes I’m southern, yes I’m traditional, hence I steered in that direction–however, it is most certainly worth noting that some good can come from this new monogram…more time to personalize!

Did you also know that when you are personalizing something with your combined monogram (i.e. husband and wife, that the woman’s first initial comes BEFORE the man’s? Yes, I know, I am etiquette guru, but it is true…ours for instance, looks like this: NSJ}

I'm a newly-wed as well, and for my wedding present, my husband got me a sterling silver bracelet and ring with my new initials on them. I wear them all the time! I'm thinking some kind of tote next!
Oh yes please! I adore monograms of any type. Pillowcases, towels, purses, mugs/cups, jewelry, you name it!
I had a great time monogramming things after we got married this year! I now have stationary and an address stamper. I even have a monogrammed shower curtain from Potterybarn! haha

I love my new last name- esp since there are so many products called "Addison" it's funny how it was so similar to my maiden name "Garrison".
I didn't know that the wife's initial comes first. That's pretty convenient since it makes my personal monogram and my married monogram the same! That's pretty lucky!
This will probably come as no shocker to you, but I LOVE monograms. I even posted recently about the monogrammed bikini I wore on our honeymoon with my new initials!
We have gotten some really neat monogrammed things – I did have a monogram shower before our wedding as well. We have 3 monogrammed ice buckets now!
You know I'm a monogram queen–I love it all! My favorite things are probably things around the home, like pillows and I also LOVE monogrammed slipcovers on chairs!
I hyphenated my last name which stinks for monograms! Now I get my kids initials on the sides and the family initial in the center. Couldn't give up monograms!
