The Harpeth Hotel… A Franklin Staycation

Travel

August 20, 2021

There is nothing I love than a little hometown getaway…especially if I get to stay at the Harpeth Hotel! I mean who needs to travel a long distance to savor some of their favorite things when I have so many incredible destinations right down the street??

Case in point, I’m here today to tell you about the Harpeth Hotel, a gem of a great getaway in historic downtown Franklin! Not only is it nestled on the banks of the Harpeth River, but it’s right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of cute and quaint Franklin, so you’re bound to get in those steps while you take in the sights and scenes of one of my favorite little local cities.

The Harpeth Hotel

From the moment you walk through the front doors, you’re greeted with sophisticated charm, timeless design and lavish services to spoil you silly! And yes, southern hospitality at its finest. Check out their lavish guest room options here [and many of you will be happy to note they are pet friendly].

We had happy hour cocktails and dinner at the in-house restaurant 1799 Kitchen, which boasts a seasonal menu made for food lovers like me [the whipped cheese appetizer + shrimp and grits were to die for]. And of course the morning after wasn’t complete until I visited McGavocks, the on-site coffee bar and provisions restaurant, perfect for those quick bites + drinks when you’re on the go!
