Did Someone Say Party?? Carson’s Superhero Inspired 5th Birthday

Oh yes indeed… you didn’t think I would forget to share about our baby’s [yes she is still the baby] 5th birthday party now did you??? It seems like it’s been ages since I threw Caroline’s skating soiree back in March, but now we are headed into uncharted territory with the latest party planning fun:

She’s mentioned it for the past six months and I kept waiting for her to change her mind–because she tends to do that from time to time–but our little lady has been begging for a superhero-inspired celebration and that’s exactly what she is going to get!

First things first… the invitations! Yes that’s the most important part for this paper perfectionist ;). I did some perusing upon Pinterest [DUH] and found some adorable ideas to start with. I then assembled those together with specific color requests [obviously incorporating yellow], sent them over to Kate at Orange Valentine, outlined the details of the big day and she handled the rest. It never fails… Kate ALWAYS blows me away with her creativity and she totally knows the inside of my mind when it comes to parties now = SO helpful when you’re working via email, right?!?!

We worked on addressing invitations this past week and they finally went in the mail for most of our guests and then she handed them out to her classmates at school… it was the sweetest thing and she was beaming with joy because she had written out their names all by herself!!

Luckily for me, she asked to have it at Sky Zone = no party at the house hallelujah!! It’s one of her favorite places AKA the jumpy places and friends of ours have had parties there so I know how simple and hassle free this is going to be = summer party win! They handle all of the food + drink and then let you bring in your own decor, party supplies, cake, etc so this mama is thrilled. Of course we are asking our superheroes to dress up so it’s sure to be quite the adventure! Cannot wait to see how the kiddos come dressed to impress.

Now it’s off to strategize for some SUPER fun favors! Any superhero party ideas?? Send them my way!!
