stonekings do disney || day 6

vacation

November 7, 2016

It’s our very last Disney recap… cue the waterworks, tears, and desire to start planning our next trip ASAP [P.S. just kidding Jeff, we will wait a few years before round 2].

Our final day we headed back to the Magic Kingdom to take in the other “lands” that we hadn’t tackled when we visited on Day 2 [see that recap here].

We started out early with a full private taxi transport courtesy of the Animal Kingdom Concierge, due to the issues we had encountered with the buses throughout our stay…and yes, we wanted to tell them about our experiences, so they kindly offered to pay for us for taxis the last day of our trip as a courtesy. We also had a boatload of extra FastPasses to use from an AMAZING blogging friend… many thanks again sweet lady!!

Once we got to the park, we headed straight to The Pirates of the Caribbean for our first FastPass of the day… the ride had changed a lot since I have been there and now it reflects the Johnny Depp pirates, hubba hubba! It was a hot one so it was nice to have an indoor, relaxing ride to start things off.

From there, we rode Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride and then had another round of Dole Whips from the Aloha Isle snack stand. Afterwards, we walked to our second FP at Jungle Cruise and then headed back to Fantasyland [the girls’ favorite obviously] for Journey of the Little Mermaid and then had lunch reservations at the Be Our Guest Restaurant. We loved this because it was a quick-service dining credit, yet the food was great and the girls loved eating in the Beasts’ Castle.

From there, we made our way to Tomorrowland to tackle the Transit Authority People Mover, Tomorrowland Speedway, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, and then Dad, Jeff, and I finally rode Space Mountain, which is still a fav of ours!

We had a few extra FastPasses to burn [thanks to an AMAZING and kind blog friend] and so we went for a few more rounds at The Barnstormer and then hopped onto the Railroad Train to head back to Main Street USA, before finishing up our souvenir shopping and doing our final quick service dinner back at the hotel.

Let’s face it, the next day, AKA our departure day, was anything but exciting, as we boarded the Tragic Express to shuttle us to the airport before heading home… I cannot tell you what a jam-packed, fun filled, family adventure our entire trip was from start to finish… a whirlwind we are STILL talking about and Caroline and Carson are still going on and on about their first trip to Disney… cheers to everything magical!!!

HI! We are starting to plan our first family trip to Disney for next fall. Would you stay at the same resort again? Were you able to all stay together or did your parents have to stay separately? We are traveling with our two kids and my mom and husband's mom. It seemed like not many places accommodate that many people all together.

    • REALLY good questions!!!!
Yes, I would absolutely stay at the same resort… it was amazing. Great pool areas, fantastic appeal with all the animals there, convenient food options, etc.
My parents stayed in a room across the hall from ours… which was great for access, but nice that they had a place just for themselves, too!
I know they have rooms that are more geared towards groups so check those out???

Thanks for answering my questions! I appreciate your help!

  2. I have so enjoyed reading your Disney posts and all the pics! We are going later this month!! I also ordered the castle home Ts! Random, but can you share the details on your necklace – it appears to have your girls names on it…. Thanks!! Jodie

  3. These recaps are SO fun! Love seeing such a fun experience through the kiddos' eyes – and your girls are wayyyy too cute! I've never even been to Disney World myself (I live on the west coast) but I'm definitely taking some notes for a future trip with kids someday. You've absolutely convinced me to plan it out fully ahead of time with a travel agent!!

It sounds like you guys had the most magical stay!
