My Birthday Weekend || The Rewind

Uncategorized

July 18, 2016

I’ll just say it now… this mama can’t hang like she used to!!! Instead of all night shenanigans in celebration of my birthday, we might have called it a night around 11pm… sleep is WAY more important these days!!

Friday afternoon, I clocked out early and treated myself to a mani/pedi… I was in full on bday mode. That night, we grilled surf and turf for dinner and took it easy, catching up on TV and staying in. Saturday morning, we were up and at it early to take the girls to get their very first haircuts! We headed to Franklin to go to Snippets and they were so excited… just a little trim for my babies, but I’m hoping these alleviates some pains when it comes to brushing their hair and trying to combat those dreaded tangles… to celebrate, we headed to our favorite smoothie place, waited out the rain, did some organizing around the house, and then had naps.

birthday flowers from one of our sweet Sugar Bit shoppers… totally made my day!

Blue Ruffled One Shoulder Ruffle Tassel Dress [this one is even BETTER in person and just $22]

Caroline showing off her new haircut… SOOOOO big 😉

Matching sisters… only the cutest little sweeties in town

Pre-dinner cocktail time… my absolute favorite drink, the French 75.
Simple Syrup + Gin + Champs + Lemon Juice = SO dang good

Auntie A came that evening to watch the girls while Jeff and I headed out to dinner with Meg and Aaron for my birthday… we went to Le Sel, which is a new-ish French restaurant… so good! The apps and cocktails were amazing and the food and atmosphere didn’t disappoint. I even managed to overcome my fear of oysters and tried one… TOTALLY not as bad as I remember. Then, they indulged me and let me pick a place for dessert and of course my ice cream loving self chose Jeni’s… Brambleberry Crisp in a waffle cone for the win!! It was such a fun night with our favorite peeps.

Gotta love him and his duck face… I know he can’t help it, and I’m totally
OK with him making fun of me… that’s love, right?!?!?! P.S. my Line and Dot Concorde Ruffle Dress is SO comfy… comes in white, too!

Sunday morning, we headed to our go-to local brunch spot, Mere Bulles, which is one of the best brunches in town… it may have to do with the fact that they have killer Creme Brulee French Toast, and yes, it’s worth every single calorie. They even called ahead and asked them to have a piece of their staple Strawberry Cheesecake Cake for me… the best birthday celebration! I did a little solo shopping at the mall during the afternoon, hitting up the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, Sephora, and Mac and then we spent the evening with the girls at the pool before crashing into bed WAY early.

P.S. thanks to everyone for making my day so wonderful… it truly means so much and I am thankful for so many fantastic friends and family who helped me celebrate OXOX

  1. You are rocking that half top knot look. Love it all!

  2. Looks like one wonderful birthday weekend!! Wishing you lots of happiness this year!

  3. Lisa says:

Oh my gosh Natasha, Mere Bulles brunch is the BEST!!! Our son goes to Lipscomb Univ (and so did I) and our daughter starts next month! We live in CA but we love to go there after church when we are in town on Sunday's from time to time. Love reading about your day to day life in N'ville because I frequently know what you are talking about. We hope to retire there…eventually…gotta' get these kids through college first 😉 And BTW…my husband gets a huge kick out of making fun of me and our daughter posing for pics too. Glad you enjoyed your birthday!!!!

  4. Edye Nicole says:
