Carson’s Pineapple Party || The Official Recap

Uncategorized

June 22, 2016

I’ve said it before, but now I TOTALLY mean it. Hands down, this was my favorite party to plan ever. It totally suited the birthday girl with her love of flamingos, pineapple, and all things yellow and summer, and everything turned out perfectly… thank heavens! Here is a rundown of all the festive fun, including food, decor, party games, and of course, the cake.

First things first… the chalkboard details. My fabulous and seriously talented friend Sarah did it again. She runs Lovely Little Designs and you can hire her to work her magic for you, too. She is THE best when it comes to chalkboards and always gets it right! For the other party goods, my friends at Via Blossom came through and found these adorable pineapple cups for me… not only a crowd pleaser for the kids, but the adults loved them, too. I added some kelly green striped straws from Paper Source and called it complete.

In terms of the florals, I headed over to my favorite flower destination, Trader Joe’s on Friday afternoon, and stocked up on snapdragons, tulips, mums, sunflowers, and roses and spent the afternoon doing some arranging on my own… such a fun task that brings gorgeous summer color to any soiree and I was able to make 5 arrangements for under $50… score for the budget!

party prep in full on let’s go mode Friday afternoon… the stage is set

Of course I had to reach out to my friend Summer of Summer’s Sweet Shoppe who makes THE prettiest and most tasty cookies on the planet… luckily I had reached out months ago because her schedule books up quickly, but she saved the day and made the cutest favors for everyone to take home… always a hit and I apologize for the sugar overload friends! Check out the sweet favor tags made by Orange Valentine, which complimented all of the other fab paper goods… she didn’t miss a beat!

My friends at Puffy Muffin designed the absolute SWEETEST cake for Carson’s shindig… complete with funfetti cake, yummy buttercream frosting, and a mixed print design that we worked on together to coordinate with the complete party design… and then my girl Kate whipped up custom cake toppers, too! I also hopped over to the new Pottery Barn Kids store in Green Hills to pick up this ADORABLE flamingo centerpiece and cake stand. And to complete the table design, I grabbed these pineapple honeycombs and Hester and Cook Floral Coloring Paper Runner.

More pics per our personal photog, Pappy… so glad he captured the special people in our lives! And of course we setup fun outdoor games for everyone to play, too… huly hooping, flamingo glow ring toss, and pineapple bowling [with Mimi spray painting pineapples gold for us.. now that is LOVE]

A big thanks to everyone who traveled near and far to join us for Carson’s big day… we had an absolute ball and it was a wonderful time loving on our little Tink! OXOX
