Mom’s MedMinder… Small Business Feature

Uncategorized

April 20, 2015

Hey there friends!! Today I’m checking in to tell you all about a business called Mom’s MedMinder site and blog

Kelly’s company launched in 2014 and her inspiration for embarking on a business was for her two little twins, Ava and Charlotte.  Aren’t they adorable??

A few years ago, Char had pneumonia and Ava had strep at the same time (when it rains, it pours, right??). Between fevers, antibiotics, breathing treatments, etc, Kelly said she was going nuts trying to keep all the medications straight. Out of habit, she was doing the usual grab a piece of mail and write down when she would give the girls their dosages so she could remember the time. That wasn’t working well, so she then created a poster to check off each time she gave them their meds. Smart woman… why didn’t I think of that?

She then began searching for a good medication reminder system on the app store or on-line, and just wasn’t thrilled with any of the options  Ease of use and the look of a site makes such a difference on the public’s perceptions of a desire to use an app and Kelly wanted to be able to save the info so she could print it out to show the doctor or look back on it for future reference… because easily we forget many of the details when we visit the doctor or try to remember specifics of a medication/sickness/etc.

So, she launched her very own site, and the mobile app launched a few weeks after. Looking to add this amazing app to your list of parental must haves? As a free user, you have the ability to use the MedMinder function… including logging on to access your family’s account, which lets you to document, track, and archive medications, treatments, appointments, and overall wellness of your children. I love the fact that all of this information is stored in ONE place! In addition, you can choose to receive a text or email alert when it’s time for the next treatment. Looking to use all capabilities? Upgrade to the $12 a year subscription, so you also have access to HealthMinder which helps you to record temperatures, behavior, and whether or not you went to the doctor. You can add reactions, eating and sleeping habits. You can add as much or as little information that you want, and then you can save it and print that out to take to the doctor. It is also helpful to look back at the treatments and what worked. Basically, it’s a one-stop online medical journal for your family. In addition, the TaskMinder page lets you enter contact info for all of your doctors, therapists, etc and a calendar to remind you of upcoming appointments.

Any of you ladies out there looking for a part-time career as a brand ambassador? Kelly is NOW HIRING and you can find specifics of the job here: http://momsmedminder.blogspot.com/2015/04/big-news.html
