August 19th marked a special day in our world as we had Miss Caroline Cate baptized in front of our church congregation…Jeff and I knew from the minute we welcomed our daughter that this was something important for us as a family, to have our daughter baptized…not only for her, but as an outward sign to those around us to show that we are committed to raising her in a Christian home.
Mom and I planned a low key celebration and decided to keep it simple and invite our immediate family and close friends… We celebrated at church that morning and then made our way to Mimi and Pappy’s house for a gorgeous brunch in our big girl’s honor.

Don’t let these pictures fool you…Caroline was a major ham during the service, eating up all the attention and smiling throughout her big debut. It was wonderful to be supported by those we love the most as we all made a commitment to help her walk in the way that leads to everlasting life.
Her gorgeous gown was a gift from her Mimi and Pappy that we found from The Plaid Rabbit and is something she can pass down to her children someday…Thanks Mom and Dad-she looked absolutely beautiful!

Someday, I cannot wait to show Caroline these pictures so she can see firsthand how much she is loved by our family and friends…little bit is a lucky child and I am so thankful for their unconditional love and support and their desire to always be there to celebrate significant occasions in her life. Congrats and how wonderful that you could spend such a special day with so many close friends and family. All our our family is far away and it's always hard when special occasions like this happen and you want to share them with the people that mean the most. I think it's especially hard when you have kiddos.
