weekend

March 7, 2011

this week is going to be a good one! it must be productive, it must be successful–i woke up with a pep in my step in part to this weekend’s home organization spring 2K11…it really got me ready to tackle even more and there are no signs of slowing down just yet:

friday afternoon, i met mary {hair stylist} for my hair trial and she did more than impress! it was exactly the look i am going for come june 11th and it was definitely “me”…i know some blogging friends wanted me to post a picture, however, i can’t do the reveal just yet–the boy reads my blog every now and then so cannot do…i will divulge a little and say that it’s romantic and very feminine. after my appointment, i headed home to pick up jeff and we entertained ourselves at kroger and then watched “love and other drugs” which turned out to be a pretty good movie–even though i think the name of it should be “how many times can anne hathaway get naked in one movie” 🙂

saturday, we ventured out in the nasty rain to the gym with every other person in nashville and then hit the ground running…getting supplies ready for the party next weekend, planting a new tree in the yard, putting up pictures around the house, spring cleaning and organizing, and then  doing some shopping around town.
that evening, we headed to one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants for authentic italian cuisine–cafe nonna–and had a leisurely dinner with a bottle of wine, spaghetti and meatballs {ahhh so good!}, and then indulged with their yummy strawberry ricotta cheesecake. poor jeff was in the mood to watch another movie so i obliged, only to fall asleep 20 minutes in to “the kids are all right”–so needless to say i can’t give a thumbs up/down to that one friends.

sunday was quite a routine day around our house…church, home depot {they need a frequent shopper card like grocery stores}, working on wedding-related projects, venturing to see Meg and Aaron’s new place, cooking spinach and mozzarella steak roll-ups for dinner, and then watching the premiere of The Real Housewives of OC–oh how i have missed these blonde crazies! they are the original and will forevermore be my favorite cast!

happy monday friends!! 😉

  1. How did I miss the premiere of RHoOC?! Time to set up the DVR … thank goodness for Bravo re-runs!

Can't wait to see your wedding day hairstyle 🙂

  2. I totally agree……seriously, Ann Hathaway, we get it….put your clothes on (we watched that too this wknd!).

I'm sure your hair is going to look fantastic (as is the entire wedding!). My little guy might just be arriving around the time you're getting married! Due date is 6/16. 🙂

  3. I watched Love and Other Drugs on Friday night too! And while I loved seeing a glimpse of Mr. Gyllenhaal cute behind, no one needs to see that much of Annie that often! And please divulge your steak and spinach roll up recipe!

  4. Sassy says:

Happy Monday to you as well! It's going to be a great week (or at least that's what I keep telling myself). One of my college BFFs is getting married in Nashville in August, and I've been loving helping her plan/brainstorm/etc.. Can't wait to see her hair trial. 🙂 I'm sure you looked gorgeous!

  5. Sounds like a great weekend. I too am excited the the RHofOC are back in action! 🙂

  6. The Real Houswives of OC did not let me down, I love those ladies!! So much drama = so entertaining!!

  7. Happy Monday! Ugh – I missed the housewives last night…I'll have to find a re-run and catch up!

  8. Mrs. Nelson says:

Me and my hubby watched Love&Other Drugs on Friday too! I mean I knew she was going to be naked, but I had no idea it would be the whole movie! LOL…Anyway, I agree with the title of the movie. It should def. be changed 😉

  9. you go girl! glad you are energized!

  10. Neely says:

Uh yeah Love and Other drugs…uhhh

  11. Wow! What a busy, busy weekend! I love your "the house was clean yesterday" graphic–I need that sign for my entry way!

The Kids Are Alright is pretty good! I recommend re-watching with some coffee!

    Have a great week!
