Pumas on Patrol

weekend

December 6, 2010

First and foremost, it is two days later and yes, I am still in recovery mode from girl’s weekend… WOW we had a wonderful holiday celebration together, but I am still reminded we are older than we act, but will sacrifice so our boys will know we can still “hang” with the best of them. Here’s a full rewind from our festivities… so proud the camera was out in full effect!

Friday night, we headed to Meg’s house for pizza, apps, yummy treats, and loads of wine and relaxation time…of course we gossiped and caught up because everyone has been so crazy busy lately, and just had girl time. Perfect time to unwind after a long week at work.
Saturday morning, we met at my house for brunch–hashbrown casserole, muffins, pigs in a blanket, fruit salad {gotta have SOME nutrition} and monkey bread…wow, we most certainly indulged our tastebuds! Then we headed to Target to buy for our angels…though we couldn’t begin our shopping adventure until we had a brief photoshoot in the scarf and hat aisle–haha! I will admit though, we had so much fun racking up the goodies for our children this year and we’re so excited they will be able to open up some fabulous gifts come Christmas Day.
Shopping Lists–check!
Ridiculous Hats—check!
Love this one–we can stumble upon fun ANYWHERE
Time to pick the perfect doll!
The rest of our afternoon was spent in front of the TV watching the SEC Championship Game with the boys…Auburn pulled out another huge win and will be singing all the way to the National Championship Game in Arizona–so proud of them!!
Making rotel for the big game
 Comfy clothes and scarves…check!
 Love these ladies
Saturday night, we got all dolled up and headed out to dinner at ChaChah–such a fun and great place for tapas and yummy drinks! We befriended some guys who were attending a fraternity formal (not corporate party as we originally thought–oops!), toasted away 3 bottles of champagne thanks to Lisa’s friend, took in some “scenery” with a few short hemlines (haha), and then headed out to dance the night away. First stop Tin Roof was a total fail because of a not-so-lively band though I did walk outta there with a CD…Rachel, you’re in big trouble for this one!! So then we had a mini-brainstorming session and decided to toss our cares and livers out the window and head downtown to Paradise Park… needless to say, we were “those girls” yet again, dancing in the front row and staying out until a whopping 3AM–people, this NEVER happens anymore so we felt as though we earned our “fun badges” that night. Then it was a group taxi home to escape into a restful sleep.
All dressed up and ready for a night on the town!

 LOVE IT!
Sunday morning, Jeff and I finally got to spend time with our personal photographer Candice shooting pictures for Christmas cards–which were awesome and I cannot wait to show the final product! Then the rest of the afternoon was spent shopping, taking a brief afternoon nap, watching Eclipse, and vegging out with homemade Chicken Enchilada soup for dinner… what a non-stop in-your-face fun holiday weekend!
If I dont say it enough, God has placed such incredible women in my life… these girls are the people I laugh with, I cry with, and I celebrate with–their friendships mean the world to me and I am a much better person because of each and every single one of them. As we get older, we all change and grow up, but I think we’re all doing it together and it’s so much fun to do it with these ladies–love you all SO much! OXOX
