A Monthful of Goodness

weekend

November 2, 2010

The month of November brings with it a multitude of fun to be had, and I cannot wait to kick-off LOADS of activities with friends and family…here’s how this month is shaping up:
Christmas Village (November 12th)–an annual tradition of fun here for ladies in Nashville…it’s held at the fairgrounds and its a must for all things holiday–the perfect place for food and gifts galore and it’s a day Mom and I look forward to each and every year… one of our many “dates” that is strictly for just us girls!
Mom’s Birthday (November 13th)–another fun celebration marks my mom’s bday… we have a fun day planned complete with dinner at the famous Puckett’s Grocery with nighttime entertainment and live music, too!
Cami’s Baby Shower (November 14th)–my good friend AKA sorority sister AKA college roommate Cami is having her 1st baby Preston early next spring and a few of the girls are throwing her a shower here in Nashville to kick off everything baby! Cannot wait to see that growing bump and spoil her with some goodies for the Fields’ new bundle of joy!
Wedding Reception Meeting (November 18th)–Mom, Jeff, and I will be meeting with our reception coordinator, Laurie, to talk anything and everything reception: we’re hoping to work out vendor contracts on our rentals {linens, chairs, tables, lighting, draping, etc} and work on the layout for the big party!

Candice’s Birthday and UT vs. Vanderbilt (November 20th)–Ms. Tate will be turning the big 28 and we’re all gathering for a fun birthday dinner before tailgating the next day as we watch UT take on local rival Vanderbilt… yummy wings from the infamous Matt, football, and giant big screens all day…what more could you ask for???

Thanksgiving Day and my Papa’s 70th Birthday (November 25th)–One of my favorite holidays is right around the corner! Thanksgiving is very special to me in that I get to spend it with my family and we get to take time to be thankful for the many blessings God has given us… and to top it off, our big turkey, my grandfather Brice, will be turning the big 70–woo hoo!! We’re planning a fun birthday spectacle and I can’t wait for him to see what we have in store
Black Friday Shopping (November 26th)–Are you ready?? Mom and I venture out each and every year to take on the crazy hoards of other women just like us as we attempt to pinch our pennies and come home with boo-koos of Christmas gifts to jump start the holiday shopping season… gift cards and discount coupons have already started arriving at my house and I am storing them in a “safe place” so the Grinch {AKA Jeff} doesn’t “accidentally” throw them out-HA!
