Good afternoon friends! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. December is in full swing, and Christmas is inching closer-I am just brimming with holiday spirit {as if you couldn't tell}. Though I know people keep reminding me that I need to be resting right now, I can't sit still for one minute with all the fun going on...I can relax one day, but today is just not that day.
Friday night, Jeff and I headed to dinner and a movie for date night. I finally had my first experience with Five Guys Burgers and I have to say it did not disappoint. Along with what seemed to be like every teenager and girl's group in Nashville, we went to see the New Year's Eve movie. Basically, it's everything the previews promise...cheesy, light-hearted romantic comedy strangely similar to Valentine's Day, but still fun to see.
Saturday morning started out as it normally does--gym time and then Starbucks {kinda cancels each other out, right?} and then we headed to Franklin to meet up with my parents for Dicken's Christmas! Not sure if it was the gorgeous weather or what, but I think the amount of people that normally attend tripled this year...it was nuts! Everyone brought out their dogs, their strollers, their winter coats, and their wallets and I think it's safe to say this year was a success for downtown Franklin--Mom and I definitely did some damage ;). Saturday night was my company's Christmas party downtown at Amerigo. We had so much fun catching up and celebrating big milestones for some of the employees--like me having celebrated 5 whole years this past June=CRAZY!!
Sunday, I woke Jeff up bright and early to sing him a little song since yesterday was our 6 month anniversary. Cheesy, yes, but he knew what he was getting into when he married me...a lifetime of happy song and dance routines...haha. Can't believe we've already been married 6 months and I love him more and more each day. We then headed to church, and spent the afternoon finishing up our errands and such for our BIG NYC TRIP this weekend!
