Uncommon Goods || Styling New Baubles

Monday, March 21, 2016

I'm a jewelry connoisseur, a collector if you will, and I am always on the prowl for sparkly new baubles to add to my collection... after all, clothing trends can come and go, but jewelry is forever!

Today I am here on behalf of my friends at UncommonGoods to share some of the pretties in their collection of jewelry
For more than 17 years, UncommonGoods has been featuring unique pieces, created in harmony with the environment and without harm to animals or people. Headquartered in Brooklyn, New York [where I lived for a summer... oh how I love it up there], they run all their operations out of a historic Army Terminal, where the lowest paid seasonal worker starts at 50% above the minimum wage.

Their overarching mission is to support and provide a platform for artists and designers, and more than half of what they sell is made by hand... impressive and oh so hard to find these days! And at the core of UncommonGoods is a great respect for the integrity of the creative individual and the belief that it is our responsibility to use business to impact the world in a positive way.

From necklaces to statement pieces to everyday jewelry you can wear day in and day out, you are sure to find something you fall in love with at UncommonGoods. See more necklace options here

First up, the Double Feather Ring... a simple, elegant wrap ring featuring two feathers plated in sterling silver and then plated with 18K gold. This is an everyday ring that is stands out and makes a statement... handmade by Catherine Weitzman in Hawaii.

I'll be pairing this fun ring with a gray rolled sleeve shirt, favorite white jeans, and flat fringe sandals this season for a closet ensemble that is anything but basic!

Second in line are these hand hammered chevron swing earrings, made by Lucy Dalton. They are delicate, sleek, and don't weigh a ton, which is great! Handmade in Brooklyn, these will be accompanying me on all my springtime travels to Dallas and Rosemary Beach just to name a few. Pair them with my new navy maxi and some fun wedges for a dressy look that's comfy, too.

Finally, I saved the best for last and it's this Vine Gold Dipped Lace Bracelet which boasts old world antique romance matched with contemporary elegance... the cuff is by Tulianna and Alejandra Garces, two Colombia artisans. The entire process is completed by hand, as pieces of lace are cut and sewn, dipped in wax to seal, and then dipped in 24K gold. I'm absolutely obsessed and it's been on my arm since the day it arrived!
I'm seeing this paired with a fun print romper, lace up sandals, and a pastel clutch perfect for a night out with the hubby.

Thanks to my friends at UncommonGoods for collaborating with me on this post. As always, all thoughts, opinions, and written content is that of Hello! Happiness.
