Five on Friday…This is the Stuff Five on Friday is All About

December 19, 2014

One. Holly Jolly PJ Link-Up Party
It’s time to deck the halls and your little ones out in some festive jammies for our annual Holly Jolly PJ Party next Monday! It’s easy and simple to participate:
1. Dress them (and you if you feel so inclined) up in some festive pjs and snap away
2. Join us Monday, December 22nd at 6AM CST through New Years to link-up and see all the other sweet peas… be sure to share this graphic and link back to us (Darci, Jenny, Julie, Ashley, and I)
3. Share your photo via Instagram using hashtag #HollyJollyPJParty
And oh my heavens, I just looked at last year’s linkup…I forgot how funny that was. See here.

Two. Sunday Riley Love
I’m always on the lookout for fabulous, new, innovative and trusted beauty products…especially those for my face. I was recently introduced to Sunday Riley, who focuses on results…their motto is the FASTER, the BETTER! (amen to that). I have been testing out the Bionic Anti-Aging Cream, which is a multi-vitamin nighttime repair cream that fights aging while you sleep…love how I can simply put this goodness on prior to bed and then let it work its magic while I get some shut eye. I’ve also stocked up on the Isis Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil, which is another anti-wrinkle oil blend to help keep skin hydrated and looking youthful. If its good enough for the major designers to use in their runway shows for fashion week (Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, and Jason Wu just to name a few), it’s certainly good enough for this beauty loving Tennessee native, too. Want to know more about this incredible line of beauty, skincare, and makeup? Visit the Sunday Riley website here.

Three. Lucie’s List Travel Gear

If you’re like the majority of the world, you’ll be traveling in some sort of fashion over the holidays…whether it be by plane, train, bus, or car, you have to get it together and try to find a way to do it simply, especially when there are little ones involved. One of my favorite go-to baby resources, Lucie’s List, just posted their newest edition for Travel Gear and I think they include some amazing options, helpful hints, and reminders on what to pack, and where to buy their top ranked favorites. Looking for some additional help on the packing/travel essentials? I did a post on my Top 10 Tips for Air Travel with Baby and Vacation Necessities: What to Pack

Four. Ikea Comes to Tennessee

Strumming through the local news this week, I read an article saying Tennessee was getting our very first Ikea (to be completed in Fall 2016)…instantly I was like a kid on Christmas morning, brainstorming how I can buy all their fun goodies to transform the playroom into a kiddie wonderland, but then I found out it’s scheduled to be built in Memphis. BOO 🙁 I know I have some blogging friends in West Tennessee who I’m sure are elated over this news, however us Music City folks are a little disappointed. Maybe one day it’ll come to the “IT” city, but until then I guess I’ll be traveling to Atlanta to stock up on my Ikea goodies. And yes, I’m still sulking.

Five. The Hats Have It
If you follow me via Instagram, you might have noticed I’ve been all about the hats as of late. It’s winter and it’s fun to accessorize in a different way and a hat can totally take an outfit up a notch! Some of these I already own and some might be on my wishlist for Christmas and our ski trip in February…all are steals at $35 and under so they are budget friendly, too!

That’s my Friday Five! Thanks for reading today my fellow friends and bloggers… cheers to kicking off another weekend of merriment with our favorites over for dinner tonight, a fabulous birthday party for my friend Sarah tomorrow, and church, wrapping and shopping on Sunday! Want to link up with us this week? Blog about it and link up below!

  1. ahh i love IKEA! i hope they open one near charleston soon! xo jillian – cornflake dreams

  2. April says:

I love IKEA! So happy to hear they are coming to our state! I will most definitely hit up Memphis over Atlanta and I live further north than you do. 🙂

  3. We currently live in Mississippi and have to make the 4 hour drive to Atlanta for Ikea! I didn't realize how lucky we were in Virginia to have one just 15 minutes away!!

  4. Meredith says:

We are very excited about IKEA coming here, the only problem I see is that it will only be about 10 min from my house. that could mean danger. 😉

  5. I love the idea of getting a few winter hats. I never know it you should wear them indoors though!

  6. Jess Scott says:

Our closest IKEA is 2.5 hours away, and if it was any closer, I would be in serious trouble!! Haha 🙂 I am loving your hats on IG!! If you can rock 'em, wear 'em!! 🙂

  7. I can't wait for the Jams Linkup! Fun!!!

    Merry Christmas!
