One. Christmas Cards…A Paper Junkie’s Fascination
I finally pulled the trigger on our holiday cards last night. Please tell me I am not the only one who goes CRAZY in anticipation of attempting to try to find the perfect card each year??? Yes, I scour high and low but always return to my favorite online card shop, Minted, to order because I know the quality is superior, the cardstock is thick (a must in my book), and the turnaround time is always super fast…and no, they are not paying me to say this. Here are just a sampling of a few that caught my eye this year (but sadly, not the “chosen” one…stay tuned for ours once they are mailed out)
Interested in seeing our family cards from years’ past? Check out my posts from 2013, 2012, 2011, and 2010.

Two. Another Friendsgiving Success
Last Sunday, CC and I went to Candice’s house for their annual Friendsgiving celebration dinner! Sadly, daddy and sister had to stay home because Carson has been battling croup for more than a week now…oh joy :/. Anyways, it was another successful, fun time spent with great friends and of course stuffing our faces with the yummiest of foods…carbs, starches, and sugars oh my. I tried a new recipe for Corn Pudding which was a big hit and then made Hello Dolly Bars, which are simple, quick, and delish. You can find the recipes below and these make perfect Thanksgiving sides and desserts, too, for those still looking for that perfect item to bring.
Three. A Must Read for Work-from-Home Moms
I stumbled across this article (written by Val Marie Paper) the other day while browsing Pinterest and it really got me thinking…I need to be better about learning to say “no” when it just doesn’t make sense, I have got to get better about balancing out my day (hello scheduling, to-do list, maintaining normal hours, etc), remembering to celebrate the small stuff, and lord I need to set realistic AND attainable goals for myself…Rome didn’t build itself overnight and neither will Sugar Bit.
Four. Brilliant Idea in the Making
Saturday mornings at my house are much happier when this lady has a mimosa or two…and I saw this the other day and wondered how in the world I never thought to do this before. Hello happy happy day! **and perfect for holiday celebrations, events, and get togethers, too

Five. Weekend Family Fun
This weekend, I have vowed not to work, not to do the unnecessary things that take over our day, and to enjoy a carefree weekend with my little family. These event-free weekends are few and far between, especially with the coming holidays, so we will be decking the halls in the house putting up all our Christmas decor, snuggling up with some popcorn and hot chocolate watching our favorite holiday movies, and enjoying being in our pajamas…sometimes the simplest of days make for the most memorable!

You know the drill! Link up with us below and share your five features for Friday… cheers to a fabulous weekend for all of you out there! And be sure to stop by Darci, April, and Christina’s blogs for their weekly roundup of goodness.
