Blog Everyday in May Challenge...Days 1, 2, and 3

I'm jumping on the bandwagon two days late for this fun little challenge, but I have been struggling to come up with blog content like my good friend, Sara from Running From the Law, so I thought this would be a fun way to show off some new stuff...let's see how well this goes (P.S. the thought of posting every.single.day for an entire month makes me a little nervous, so be kind if I "forget" a day or two) - this challenge is hosted by a new blog I found, Jenni from Story of My Life
So, to start things off, let's start with Day 1: The Story of My Life in 250 Words or Less
I'm Natasha...born and raised in Nashville. I'm walking the thin line of my twenty-something life and turn 30 in July...lord help me. Growing up, I did the normal things kids do...ride bikes with friends, studied dance from the age of 3, and played softball. I loved everything related to English, History, and socializing, and loathed Math and Science. For college, I ventured off to The University of Tennessee to sport some orange and white and carry on the family tradition...joined Delta Gamma, was active in all sorts of organizations, moved to NYC for a summer to work at one of the top advertising agencies, and graduated with a Communications degree. I loved everything about college and wasn't too keen on growing up. Oh, and the love life...I dated a guy for almost 3 years, but then called it quits after I moved home.
Day 2: Educate Us on Something You Know A Lot About or are Good At
I have the hardest time when asked questions like these...highlighting something I'm good at when sometimes I don't feel like I'm all that great at any one topic/subject. I do think I am good at time management/staying organized and tackling to-do lists so here are a few tried and trusted bits of advice from lessons learned...
a. Keep a Planner: write everything down you have going on, and make sure you check it daily...this helps you know when your deadlines are approaching, when you have a big event coming up, or a task that needs your attention. My favorite planners are from Target...less than $10, too!
b. Make Lists: I don't do anything without a list...whether it's cleaning, grocery shopping, organizing, packing for vacation, or whatnot, I make a list for anything and everything-it drives my hubby crazy, but he knows I've always got it under control and it keeps my stress levels to a somewhat manageable level.
c. Plan in Advance: Have something important coming up? A birthday party to host? An event to attend? Don't wait until the last minute to buy a gift or find the perfect outfit to wear...plan ahead. It'll make things easier in the long run and you won't be in a tizzy running around like a crazy person.
And Day 3: Things That Make Me Uncomfortable
1. Confrontation...I hate it and I'm not good at being upfront and communicating my feelings
2. Checkups at the OBGYN...once you have a kid, all modesty (not that I had any before) goes out the window, but I still hate those annual checkups. I'm supposed to have a friendly conversation while you're down there?? Ummm no thanks.
3. Opening Gifts...if you've gotten married or had a baby, surely you feel me on this subject. I love to give gifts, but I feel so strange sitting in a room full of people opening gifts as they all stare at me...it's so weird!
4. Public Restrooms...I don't think I have to tell anyone why this makes me uncomfortable. And now when I have to change Caroline's diaper in one I get all germ-a-phob...pure grossness.
