caroline’s easter basket treats

Uncategorized

March 25, 2013

Easter is on it’s way…and this year, I wanted to keep things simple with the goodies. Afterall, Caroline just celebrated her first birthday and got some fabulous new toys, clothes, and such so I wanted to put a few things in her basket that were practical, useful, and would come in handy these next few months as we approach warm weather, sunshine, and vacation! Here is what the Easter Bunny will be bringing to our house…

easter basket treats

First up, the infamous Itzy Ritzy reusable snack bags…I’ve heard rave reviews about these and found a few that caught my eye in a recent shopping trip-these will be perfect to throw in the diaper bag when we’re out and about and need a healthy snack. Next up is this adorable Carter’s sundress…lime green with pink flamingos-need I say more? I love their clothes and the price tag fits any budget. Books are our favorite and ones that correlate to a specific holiday are even better….this book by Jellycat is sure to be a winner! And since we have our family beach vacation coming up in a mere 5 weeks, I couldn’t help but pick up a few small goodies to take on our trip…this white swim coverup from Old Navy, some fun yellow polka dot sunglasses, and this adorable metallic straw hat-perfect for shielding the sun!

  1. Caroline will be so cute opening her own basket as a big 1 year old!! I must get that little sun hat for our beach trips. That carters dress is so cute, their stuff holds up well for serious toddler play.

  2. Love Itzy Ritzy…and that book looks adorable!!

  3. Samma says:

If I Were a Bunny is in DH's basket too! Love those books, and so does Dell Harper!

  4. Alexa says:

Great tips…I'll have to use some of these ideas for Mila too!

  5. Confession: I just went to Old Navy's site to see if that cover-up was available in kids sizes or if it was baby sizes only. If it came in kids sizes (which sadly, it does not) I totally would have ordered the largest size in hopes of it fitting ME. I want it! So cute!

The Jellycat books are so fun! I'm sure Caroline will love her basket! She's going to be darling in that sunhat and coverup!

  7. I have been wanting a touch book for Jack, and will be ordering this one asap. I bought him the Jellycat Bunny for his basket and this will be a perfect accompaniment.

  8. Great picks Momma! I love filling Owen's basket / stocking / etc with essentials we already need…as well as a few "just for fun" items too.

  9. Amy says:

Cute! I'm planning on doing some shopping after work for Eli's Easter basket and am not sure what to put in it, so thanks for these ideas! So far we got him the book "Olivia" but that's it. I'm thinking sandals, a little ball to kick around the yard, a jar of bubble solution for blowing bubbles, and maaaaybe something sweet. Those snack bags are a great idea!

those snack bags look so cool! Once Christian starts eating I'll have to check them out! I am dying over those little sunglasses… could they be any cuter!?
