I'm Ready for Another Month

As much as I love July (AKA birthday month), I am ready to move on to August...that is one month closer to football and everything I love about autumn and I'm hoping the temps will drop even just a tiny bit so we can get out and enjoy this time with little peanut. A few things to catch up on:

1. A few of you sweet ladies asked where I got my dresses from in the pics from the wedding. Believe it or not, the blue and green striped came from Old Navy...I just bought it a few weeks ago, yet can't find it on their site anymore-boo. As for the chevon striped dress, it came from a local boutique in Franklin called Shop Around the Corner-supporting those local businesses, one outfit at a time.
2. Speaking of football, I may just have ordered this AH-DORABLE bib and burp cloth set from my go-to store on Etsy, The Posh Pea Boutique...Caroline needs to be sporting any and all orange come September and their sets are the best!
3. I just finished a great book...once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down, and no it wasn't 50 Shades of Grey. It's called Little Bee and it was totally out of my comfort zone...not one of my typical lighthearted girly reads, but incredible nonetheless. My summer of reading commences- I just ordered
Most Talkative by Andy Cohen and can't wait to dive in!
4. The Olympics have been keeping my eyes glued to the television the past few days...I can't seem to get enough! I may have even been sporting some major red, white, and blue action to support all our athletes in London-Go Team USA!
5. We are throwing another fun shower at our house this weekend, this time for Lauren and Andy...the next couple to walk down the aisle in October! The theme is Around the House and I cannot wait to show off the finished details- us hostesses have been working to make this fun party very special for the bride and groom! (these are the invites we used...love me some etsy)
6. And, stay tuned because tomorrow it's time for another blog sale! I found some other pieces in the closet that I am hoping to find good homes for...dresses and shoes yet AGAIN. Can you tell my weakness? It'll go live tomorrow morning so hope you can check it out if you're wanting to get some good deals ;)

the stevens' wedding weekend rewind

it's taken me WAY too long to go through all my 200+ pictures from this past weekend...if that is any indication of what a great time we all had celebrating candice and adam, then the time was absolutely worth it-i swear we were all acting like we were in our "younger years" all over again and i loved every minute of it. here is a little recap from all the festivities. (WARNING...picture overload!!)

friday morning, us girls met up with the blushing bride at puffy muffin for our bridesmaid brunch. we sipped on mimosas, indulged in some poppyseed bread, chicken salad, and strawberry cake, and just took it easy, conversating and such. we then headed to pam and monroe's house to relax the rest of the afternoon before the rehearsal/dinner celebration.
that night after the ceremony run-through, we headed to merchant's downtown for one amazing meal. they had rented a private room upstairs for all of us to enjoy and we got to take in the sights of downtown, too. they had the sweetest slideshow filled with hundred of pictures from their childhood up until now and you could just feel all the love in the room. we all gave our toasts and roasts ;) and told them how excited we were for their new life together. and yes, i may have snuck a little something in my purse "to-go" that night--hehe.
we then headed out to paradise park for some late night honky tonking one last time with candice as a single girl...singing front and center right next to the stage, and making it out until 1AM before calling the parentals to come and take us home...we needed our beauty sleep ;).

wedding day arrived and we spent the morning and early afternoon getting our hair done and just having some girl time before heading to the church for all the pictures before the ceremony. fast forward to 6:30 and the ceremony was gorgeous. sweet, thoughtful, and you can't help but tear up when friends' take that vow for life....happy day! afterwards, we headed downtown to the cannery and let the good times roll!!
