4th of July Rewind

Thursday, July 5, 2012

I cannot lie, I was a little down at the fact that the 4th of July was on a Wednesday this year, yet after the fact I have to admit that it was nice to have a little mid-week break to celebrate with family and our best friends. We ventured over to my Aunt Denise's house for food, fun, summertime beverages, and loads of water volleyball.
look at that patriotic baby! stars and stripes forever ;)
 CC and her godmother/Aunt Meg
 our happy little family
 me with my favorite firecracker!
gran and papa and their 1st great grandbaby
 my little butterball
 four generations...my cup runneth over
I think I am still in a food coma today from all that I consumed yesterday...barbeque and all the traditional sides, coupled with my favorite Oreo dessert I whipped up, and my new favorite beverage (the Bud Light Lime-a-rita=AMAZING!), we're taking it easy today and spending the day at the house catching up on chores!
Hope you all had a fantabulous Independence Day celebration, too!

  3. What great pictures! Four generations -- you are one lucky girl. By the time I graduated college, I sadly had no grandparents left. I always love seeing people who have such close bonds to their grandparents and are thankful to have them in their lives.

Ya'll had one major thing yesterday that we kept wishing for ... a chilly, refreshing POOL!

  19. Girlfriend...can we just talk for a minute...about the fact that you are wearing a bikini not even 4ish months after having a baby. ROCK ON! I've got so much to learn. Like, not eating cookies all.the.time. We'll work on that. But, you look amazing!
