Sweet Caroline...The Baby Shower

Thursday, March 8, 2012

I am so sorry I am just now finding the time to post this recap...horrid I tell you, yes I am bad and I cannot believe it's taken me almost 4 weeks to get this post complete. It took the kind requests from a few of you out there to get me back on topic for one of my favorite days recently-a shower for Caroline hosted by some of my very best friends: Bev, Candice, Lauren, Meg, and Rachel.
As soon as I walked in, I couldn't believe just how much time and effort my sweet gals had put into making each detail of the shower absolutely perfect! Some of the fun shots from such a beautiful day:
Tasty party food
The adorable banner spelling out "Caroline Cate"
Homemade marshmallow pops...yes, they were THAT good!
Strawberry cupcakes with fondant monogram toppers
Bev carved this watermelon baby carriage herself--adorable!
In another room, they set up a cravings table (seen above) with bags for guests to take home favors of all my favorite foods throughout the past 9 months...notice the Krystal boxes? Lauren worked magic with the corporate headquarters-impressive!
Present time! The sweetest anchor onesie for our future Delta Gamma
Peanut's perfectly pink bathing suit from Jenna for our upcoming beach vacation!
The notorious activity gym...I know this is going to be a hit!
Because every little VOL needs proper attire for gamedays ;)
Thanks Jamie!
Another hit of the day...Hudson! Look at those sweet cheeks
 Pink, pink, and pink!
The girls had custom cards created for friends to write down wishes for Caroline and are going to give me the book to have as a keepsake! I cannot wait to read them
The party planners extraordinaire! Love you girls
Just some of my wonderful friends at the shower!
My college DG friends! Incredible women...and our mascot Preston
And because I couldn't resist sharing a few of the special presents Caroline received...
A gorgeous pearl bracelet from Ginger, Meg's mother-in-law
 Sweet burp cloths...pretty and practical!
Caroline's monogrammed locket from her godmother Meg
Handmade gifts (onesie, lovie blanket, and burp cloth) from Adrianne
Bib and burp cloth for her baptism as well as ruffled bloomers from Mimi
Pink and white crocheted blanket from Mimi
Another shot of the tiny bathing suit, monogrammed gown, and beach hat from Jenna
The perfect coming home outfit and sweet picture frame from Amber
Monogrammed booties and shoes from Jocelyn...too cute for words
 Anchors Aweigh from Aunt Candice!
My only regret is not taking more pictures of my incredible friends who were so sweet to come and shower Caroline with love. I think my mind was in a blur {similar to how I feel every day lately}, but I felt so thankful for each and every one that was able to come celebrate with us...it meant the world to me!
And because I've gotten questions asking about the outfit:
Dress: Gap Maternity
Necklace: Francesca's Collections

  41. What a sweet shower!! I actually found your blog the other day and have been catching up on your pregnancy posts. Then today I was searching Google for images of DG onsies - I'm planning to tell my Best Friend we're expecting by giving her a "My auntie is a DG" onsie. I just thought it was so fun and ironic that the image that popped up brought me back to your blog. :)
