Walker Wedding Fun

Everytime one of my friends gets married, we all get ready to go out of town to watch them take this important next step in their lives, it really makes me think a lot about marriage and relationships and the lifelong promise you make to someone. This past weekend, the Walkers (Leslie and Dusty) got married in beautiful Acworth, Georgia (right outside Atlanta).
It was an amazing weekend filled with lots of love and well-wishes for the happy couple as they deserve complete happiness. They are the type of couple you want to surround yourself with, everyone knows and loves them, and can witness just how much they complete one another and are absolutely perfect together. We all got a little nervous as the rain was coming (even though it is good luck for it to rain on your wedding day), but the clouds held off until the ceremony was over and the reception was so much fun- of course we danced and entertained all night as usual!
Experiences like these just makes me take a step back for a minute and be thankful that you can see two people join together as one and have complete faith that they will make each other unconditionally happy. Yes there will be hard times, just as there are in any relationship, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. They are beginning a new chapter in their lives with one another and it is so exciting to be involved in the evolution of their relationship- something I hope I can't wait to experience one day down the road!

Roy's Exciting Summer Plans

So my boyfriend just found out yesterday afternoon that he has been offered a position this summer to coach LSU's baseball camps in July and I couldn't be more excited for him... sure that means he'll be down in Baton Rouge for almost a month, but this is the opportunity of a lifetime to start his career in coaching baseball and I'm just so happy for him- He also got word from a few other SEC schools, which may mean MORE coaching in June for Samford, Auburn, and the University of Alabama-Huntsville! I feel like only GREAT things can come from this, especially with his drive and ambition and hard-working mentality. Now I just have to find LOTS of things to do on the weekends to keep me occupied, although I'm sure that will consist primarily of relaxing by the pool NON-STOP!

Congrats again Rory- I am so very proud of you and can't wait for you to enjoy this experience!

A Day in the Life...

So this is my very first "blog"... I've noticed so many more people are doing this as a way to archive their daily activities and I think it is the absolute best way to stay connected to those close to you, seeing as everyone is so extremely busy this day and age.

It seems that my life lately has been extremely hectic with work... so short staffed in our marketing department here at R. W. Beck, but we're getting by somehow. Working togetther to meet the quick deadlines and get things out the door has made me realize I work with some incredible people. For some good news, I have had the opportunity to work on some very big submittals lately, which has been a great experience and I have learned so much from getting thrown into the deep end.

Other than that, it seems that weddings are in the air and the "season" has officially started... we'll be on our way to Atlanta next weekend for Leslie and Dusty's wedding, which is sure to be a huge party filled with fun! It'll be fun as we have all rented cabins for the extravaganza so I'm sure we'll get out of control and live it up like we used to in college... =(

More to update soon I am sure!
